Secara faktual keterampilan menulis menjadi suatu keterampilan berbahasa yang harus secara baik dimiliki oleh para siswa. Kebermanfaatannya akan berlangsung sepanjang masa hidup sampai menuju ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi dan berguna untuk kehidupan sehari-hari agar siswa bisa mengkomunikasikan sesuatu dengan baik. Dalam permasalahan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek ini siswa memerlukan keterampilan dalam membuat suatu ide gagasan penulisan karya beruipa karangan cerita pendek. Tujuan dari penelitian kali ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dengan penggunaan Media Gambar Berseri terhadap keterampilan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Peneliti ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif, menggunakan desain pre-eksperimen dengan jenis desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest. Populasi dan sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dengan jumlah 20 siswa di salah satu sekolah dasar di Desa Cikole Kecamatan Lembang. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa instrumen tes pengerjaan soal pada lembar kerja kelompok dan individu. Berdasarkan data yang telah diperoleh pada rata-rata hasil nilai tes yang telah di uji kan mengalami peningkatan, data tersebut juga diperkuat dengan perhitungan uji analisis uji normalitas, uji parametric dan non parametric wilocoxon, pengujian efektivitas dengan uji N-Gain menghasilkan bahwa model dan media pembelajaran tersebut efektif dalam peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.
Factually, writing skill is a language skill that must be well owned by students. Its usefulness will last throughout his lifetime until heading to a higher education level and is useful for everyday life so that students can communicate something well. The purpose of this research is to analyse the effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model with the use of Serial Image Media on the short story writing skills of grade IV elementary school students. This researcher used a quantitative research approach, using a pre-experiment design with the One Group Pretest-Posttest research design type. The population and samples used were grade IV elementary school students with a total of 20 students in one of the elementary schools in Cikole village, Lembang sub-district. The instruments used are in the form of test instruments working on questions on group worksheets and individual worksheets. Based on the data that has been obtained on the average test scores that have been tested have increased, the data is also reinforced by the calculation of the normality test analysis test, the wilocoxon non-parametric test, testing the effectiveness with the N-Gain test results that the model is effective.
