ABOUT DEPARTMENTS

The Computer Center was established with the help of benevolent donation of Shri Rasiklal Jamnadas Shah family towards the construction of building. The separate and exclusive building of the Computer Center is constructed near the Chemistry Department and next to Management Department having spacious built up area of 725 sq. mtrs at the ground floor. The first floor having online laboratories has been constructed with the help of donation from the late Sankalchand Patel family of the visnagar. The building envisages two laboratory for administrative work.

The idea of establishing the Centre for Indian Diaspora and Cultural Studies came from the highly inspiring and thought provoking speech of Shri J.C. Sharma, The Hon’ble Secretary (PCD), Ministry of External Affairs, The Government of India, inaugurating the first International Conference on “Indian Diasporic Experience: History, Culture and Identity” (Jan. 22-24, 2002) organized by us. It will not be an exaggeration to say that the centre owes its existence to the care and patronage it has received from the Hon’ble Secretary.

The office of the University-Industry Linkage Cell was established in the April, 2014 to facilitate the development of symbiotic relationships between the University and partners from different industrial sectors. Initially, the partnerships will be aimed to support the newly implemented mandatory industry internships for the campus graduate, postgraduate and research programs. The aim of University-Industry Linkage cell is to act as a dynamic liaison unit with industry counterparts in order to identify opportunities to develop innovative solutions for technological problems.

Smt. Vidyaben Deepchandbhai Gardi Chair is established through the financial support of Deepchandbhai Gardi in Hem. North Gujarat University Campus to stimulate the competitive approach in students. The Gardi Chair was official inaugurated on May 17, 2011 by Hon. Dr. D. Purandeswari (Minister of State For Human Resource Development) and Hon. Prof. Vasuben Trivedi (Minister of Higher & Technical Education , Women & Child Development, Gujarat State).

The geographical jurisdiction of the North Gujarat University encompasses four districts-Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha.

Each one of the four district has its own distinct heritage. Geographically a part of the whole area is towards the desert of Kutchh, while on the North Eastern side are rocky regions of forest populated by the tribal.

The economy of the area is mainly agricultural. There are a few towns here and no big city. The rest of the population lives in villages. With a view to catering to the peculiar cultural and educational needs of the area, North Gujarat University was established by the Ordinance No. 5 of 1986 dated 17.5.1986 which was later passed as the North Gujarat University Act No.22 of 1986 on 11/9/86 by the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat. The University has been functioning since then and growing and expanding steadily.

In the first week of July 2024, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat (HNGU) will begin the admissions process for all UG and PG degrees.

The deadline for submitting an application for admission to HNGU is August 15, 2024. The university offers popular courses like B.Ed., BRS., M.Ed., MSc., and MRS.

The merit-based admissions process for this university is determined by the qualifying exam score. For the academic year 2024, HNGU is now accepting registrations. Candidates can use the university’s official website to submit an online admissions application.

It comprises 425 connected colleges and 11 campuses in total. HNGU offers over 143 UG, PG, and PhD courses in computer science, arts, science, management, and other subjects.

This university offers popular undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science, including BSc, BA, MSc, MA, and MBA programs.

NOTE – Students must pass their 12th class to enroll in UG courses, and they must complete their UG degree at an accredited university to eligible for a PG degree.

The (HNGU) has several undergraduate programs available at its North Gujarat campus.

• B.P.ED, B.LIB, and B.Ed. This university offers a variety of courses, including B.B.A., B.S.W., and B.COM in English language.
• To eligible for UG programs, the student must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a reputable board.
• In order to apply for admission to these undergraduate programs, students will need to take an entrance exam or merit-based exam.
• A bachelor’s degree in education is known as a B.Ed . : This course is required of students who wish to pursue careers as teachers. A bachelor’s degree, such as a BA, BCom, etc., is required of applicants for admission to this program
•  Bachelor of Social Work (BSW):  degree program is at the undergraduate level. Students may apply to this course if they have a 10+2 from a recognized institution.
•   BCom: Students with 50% in the 10+2 board exam in order to admitted to the B.com program, applicants must meet this requirement.
• BBA:   Students with 50% of the required marks can apply for this course following the 12th.
• BSc Computer Science Eligibility: Candidates willing to get admission in this program should have a 10+2 education in the science stream with 50% marks. For this course, admittance will determined by merit. A 1500 INR application fee is required.
• Economics Bachelor’s Eligibility: Students must have completed at least 10+2 credits in any subject with a cumulative GPA of 50% to eligible for this program.
• PG ADMISSION 2024

Numerous postgraduate programs, including MA, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA, are offered at HNGU. After completing their bachelor’s degree in the field in which they plan to pursue a postgraduate degree, students are eligible to apply for these programs.

• MA: Students who have completed their graduating degree with 50% or higher may apply to this program. A two-year Master of Arts degree program is equivalent to a postgraduate degree.
• MCA: To apply to the HNGU MCA program, students must have a BCA degree or its equivalent from a university that has received government recognition. The completion period is two years.
•   MBA: is available to students with undergraduate degrees such as BA, BCom, BCA, BBA, and so forth.
• M.Sc.: Merit and the admission exam will used to determine selection for this master’s program. In order to qualified for this course, students must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. On the official website, students can fill out the HNGU MSc admission form.
• Master of Social Work program[MSW ]: is offered at the postgraduate level. Students who have earned their diplomas are eligible to apply to HNGU .
• Master of Library and Information Science MLIS: BLIS or BLib degree holders with a 45% to 55% score can enroll in this course.
• Ph.D. Admission at HNGU, 2024

Students can pay the cost and submit their application forms online. The course must last for a minimum of three years.

In order to admitted to a Ph.D. program, candidates must earn a master’s degree from an accredited university.

HNGU PhD Admission 2021-22 Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria for HNGU PhD Admission 2021-22

• Candidates can apply in the subject in which they have post graduate degree.
• Candidate must possess required qualification as on last date of filling up application form. In case result of the candidate is declared as on last date of application but hard copy of marksheet is not received, in such cases he/she has to upload print copy of result downloaded from the website of concerned university.
• A candidate(s) seeking admission in Ph.D. must have Master’s Degree in relevant subject with atleast 55%(Without Grassing) marks and 50 %(Without Grassing) Marks for SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer/ differently abled candidates having more than 40%disability) in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7- point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the subject chosen for research. The Non-creamy layer Certificate is valid for the time period as specified by the government time to time

Selection Procedure

• All candidates will be selected on the basis of written test and Interview.
• Those candidates who have passed UGC–NET /SET/ CSIR NET and M.Phil. (as per UGC regulation 2009) shall be exempted from entrance test. They shall be considered for admission in the category only in which they have passed the examination. Further, the candidates who have qualified master degree from universities other than HNGU shall be considered for admission in respective category only.

HNGU PhD Entrance Test

• The syllabi of entrance test for Ph.D. programme will be as per UGC guidelines i.e. 50% from Research Methodology followed in the subject and 50% subject specific.
• Syllabus for the Entrance Examination of Research Methodology shall be put on University website and Subject specific Questions shall be as per the UGC/CSIR NET Syllabus.
• The entrance test shall be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) only.
• The MCQ test structure shall consist of 100 MCQs of 100 marks. Each question will carry 01 mark.
• The Research Methodology of 50 MCQs will constitute questions related to English Proficiency, Reasoning Ability, Basic Computer Skills; each of 5 questions – total 15 and 35 Questions of subject specific Research Methodology.
• The subject specific of 50 MCQs shall be asked from concerned subjects.
• Passing standard of the entrance examination shall be 50% (45 % for SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer and Differently Abled candidates having more than 40% Disability).

Structure of Question Paper for PhD Entrance Examination

The Entrance Examination shall be of objective type with 100 Multiple Choice Questions as per the scheme given below:

• Research Methodology (Subject Wise) 35 MCQ Questions of 35 Marks
• English Proficiency 5 MCQ Questions of 5 Marks
• Reasoning Ability 5 MCQ Questions of 5 Marks
• Basic Computer Skill 5 MCQ Questions of 5 Marks
• Subject Specific 50-MCQ Questions of 50 Marks

There shall be a separate Syllabus for each subject for section: I and Section: II Syllabus for Ph.D.

The above questions related to English Proficiency and Basic Computer Skills will be asked in English medium only

Siddharth University was established on 17 June 2015 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in Kapilvastu, Siddharth Nagar. This University is recognized by the UGC (University Grant Commission) and is affiliated to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. Admissions to the Ph.D. Programme shall be made through an Entrance Test conducted by Controller of Examination of the University for each Discipline. Candidates who obtain satisfactory marks in this entrance test may also have to participate in a personal interview. The final merit list is based on a cumulative grading of performance in the entrance examination, personal interview, and the qualifying degree scores (Master’s level). The following categories of candidates are exempted from Ph.D. entrance test: 

• UGC/CSIR-JRF/NET (with validity period)/Teacher Fellowship holder/Inspire fellow (with validity period)/GATE (with validity period)/GPAT (with validity period) is eligible.

At HNGU admission 2024-25, undergraduate courses are offered. To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science program, applicants must hold a 10+2 degree from a recognized institution with a grade point average of 40%. Some universities offer the course on an entrance basis, while most universities offer it on a merit-based basis.

Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU) PG Admission started for courses such as MA, M.Sc, MSW, MLis, M.Com, MBA, MCA, and many others for the 2024 session. Those who want to be admitted at the postgraduate level must have completed their bachelor's level degree with good marks from UGC- an approved university. Precisely, for seeking admission to M.Sc, aspirants must hold a B.Sc degree in the relevant field.

As far as the selection process is concerned, it is done either through merit or entrance exams. For MBA/MCA, the university selects the student based on CMAT performance.

HNGU admission 2024-25 invites students to fill out the application form in online mode. The application process consists of three stages: form filling, document uploading, and fee payment. The  Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University  was initially established as the North Gujarat University by the Ordinance No. 5 of 1986 which was later passed as the North Gujarat University Act No.22 of 1986 by the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat. • Admission to BA, B.Com, B.Ed, BBA, BCA, B.Lib.I.Sc, BJMB, BRS, BSW, LL.B and B.Sc is offered on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 examination.
• For B.Arch, the candidates have to qualify in NATA conducted at All India level.
• B.P.Ed and B.Ed admission is offered on the basis of marks in university-based entrance test.
• Admission to MA, M.Com, MCA, MSW and PG Diploma courses is based on the marks obtained in Graduation.
• For M.Pharm, the candidates have to qualify in PGCET conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).
• MAT qualified candidates can apply for MHM program. HNGU also conducts an entrance test to offer admission in this program.
• For Master is Urban Planning course, the university conducts an entrance test followed by counselling.

HNGU UG Admission 2024: B.Arch, B.Sc, BA, LL.B, B.P.Ed, B.Ed, BSW, BCA & B.Com

The university also offers B.Arch program for which admission is offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in NATA.

Important Points:

• Final admission to all the course is subject to counselling conducted by the university authorities.
• 50% marks at 10+2 level are mandatory.
• For SC/ST candidates, HNGU offers a 5% relaxation in the minimum aggregate.

HNGU PG Admission 2024: MA, M.Sc, MBA, MCA, M.Pharm, M.P.Ed, M.Ed, LL.M, MHM & MUP

M.Pharm admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in PGCET conducted by ACPC. MBA admission is based on CMAT score. HNGU also offers MHM course for which admission is offered on the basis of MAT score .

• The university also offers MA/ M.Com in External mode.
• For admission to PG programs, candidates must have passed the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• Science candidates must have completed their graduation with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
• For SC/ST candidates, there is a 5% relaxation in the basic eligibility.
• The University also conducts a counseling session for final selection of the candidates.

Honest opinion

• The campus is very clean and safe. The lecture halls are comfortable and spacious.
• The seniors are helping in studies, they provide us their books so we don’t need to buy so many books. The library of the college also has a vast Collection of books which we can borrow.
• I wished the patient flow was a little more and some other facilities like cancer treatment were also being done at our hospital.
• The campus is a little small. There is no dedicated garden where we can just do exercise or sit.

The eligibility is that you need to qualify NEETUG for getting admission here. The cut off is high. You can get here by state counseling either by govt, management or NRI quota. In counselling you have to do the choice filling then whichever college is alloted to you, you have to go there for verification.

To enter into medical course there was an entrence exam called neet -ug. This exam is done by nta. Exam is national level student are appeared on mark cut-off they admission into government, semi government, our private colleges

College review

• The campus of the college is the second largest in our state. It very clean and full of trees.
• Hostels facilities are also decent with 2 people leaving in a room.
• It is far from the main Patan city, so sometimes it can become difficult for purchase grocery.
• Washroom facilities are very poor. Only 2 washroom between 30 people

There is NEET-UG exam where we need to score from 720. You can find application form the official website of NTA. There is reservation in every college. NEET is a once in year exam which occur in may and results are declared in June. It is moderate exam with 200 question from physics, chemistry and biology. The time take of form filling must reduce.

Dharpur medical college review

• The experienced faculties are very knowledgeable and helps when required.
• Large sized campus provides opportunity to play sports in free time.
• Gymnasium has broken machines and no maintenance
• Grounds are large but grass is not there

Admission process is not smooth at all. Even in this modern times of internet and all things going online. I had to visit centers for document submission. And the time they takes for this counselling process is unacceptable. NTA doesn't value our time

• The campus of our college is so beautiful and big and there are so many green plants around us
• Faculties of our college is very supportive and helping . We can ask them any kind of doubt related to studies and extra curricular also
• Projectors are not working properly in the Classroom so we have to face issues for playing videos in PPT
• College is located near the village dharpur which is far from main city patan, so we have to travel much to reach patan.

I had given entrance exam called as National eligibility cum entrance test ( NEET ). Neet is considered as very nice level of examination for selection of good students Application form for the neet can we found on website of NTA which conduct this exam. I got no reservation benefits as I am from General Category. Frequency of neet examination should be increased it should be twice or thrice a year. And difficulty level is also should be increased to have more competent doctors. Admission process should not take such long time as students get to know fast whether they are getting college or not.

A decent college campus near Patan

• The college campus is very large & one of the biggest in Gujarat.
• There is a gymnasium for indoor games to play.
• Cleanliness is somewhat less according to me .
• The auditorium is not wekk maintained here.

We need to qualify the NEET UG EXAMINATION for the admission. Counseling takes place on the APCUGMEC website for Gujarat State. I've not availed any reservation. All the details are available on ACPUGMEC website for councelling. Eligibility inculdes 12th class biology + NEET UG qualification.

The University rented a hall from one of the Gandhi Memorial Hall's two hostel structures to house its library. The goal was to create a foundational library for the University's future postgraduate programmes. Additionally, it asked the State Government to give the University ownership of its 35-acre seed farm property. The University also has a state-of-the-art auditorium with a seating capacity of over 1,500 people, where various cultural and academic events are organized throughout the year.

HNGU Facilities:

HNGU has a library which is a rented hall. This rented hall is named as a Gandhi Memorial hall. The aim was to start building up a nucleus library for the future post-graduate departments of the university. The University has post office and banking facilities to the students and the faculty members. Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University has a cafeteria where students can get coffee, tea,  fresh juice. HNGU Patan has a canteen. where students can get healthy and nutritious foods.

Placements & Internships : No internship was offered for bachelor degree candidates Mostly private sectors and banks hire them for accounting and auditing work. Average salary is about Rs. 3,50,000 per annum Mostly 1 third of candidates get placement.

Fees & Scholarships : Bcom per year fees vary with college, in my case it was Rs. 12,000 per year at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, [HNGU] Patan. Yes, scholarship option is available for backward students and disabled students from SCs, STs, and OBC gets scholarship about 50% of fees.

Academics & Faculty : Class starts around 8 am, its good to have morning College easy for students to utilise time with other activities, exam were held in afternoon so no student will have trouble traveling. The quality of teaching was decent and the teachers were also friendly (except when it comes to newbies). Overall experience is good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There's almost all basic amenities and facilities needed for students, boys and girls both hostels are available separately hostel fees are not high enough its affordable for everyone I have no clue about PG as I haven't done yet Canteen is simple and clean with quality food available and clean drinkable water provided , Garden, library, labs, parking etc also provided by College (wifi is password protected).

Clubs & Associations : Since covid pandemic all groups shifted to Whatsapp no physical society exists mostly National Holidays are celebrated like republic day, independence day, teachers day etc, sometimes Navratri also celebrated.

Placements & Internships : No placement is done by the college in biotechnology subject. last year it's happened with chemistry. If we talk about alumni students of our college could be found throughout the country where they go for their masters.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There is no entrance exam for admission. Admission is done by your merit marks. For admission in biotechnology, you must be passed 10+2 exam of any state board or central board with PCB and/or PCBM subject. The cutoff marks are different every year but one can get admission with 55-57% marks.

Fees & Scholarships : For admission in biotechnology, you have to pay INR 25000 per year. Scholarships options are available through govt. Of India. No loans needed for fees. Every year 500-600 students get scholarships.

Academics & Faculty : The daily routine for biotechnology student contain 2-3 lectures every day from 11:30 am to 14:00 pm, then students get break time about half hours and then practical session start till 17:00 pm based on a type of practice. Quality of teaching is superb and extraordinary. I can say this confidentially cause of my own experience. College is wonderful by building, by their people, supportive faculties.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two separate hostels in the campus for boys and girls. Another one hostel is also on the university campus which is not far 500 mt from college. You have to pay INR 15000 hostel fees per semester not per month. For pg courses you can join university which is nearby to the college campus.food of the hostel is nice and INR 15000 includes food bill for a semester. Quality of classroom and laboratories, libraries and wifi are first class. You can join this college without any hesitation.

Clubs & Associations : There is one club in the middle of the city named Pragati club, for students help and support there are so active workers of ABVP. Every year youth festival is organized with the collaboration of college and university and every year there is fresher's party for new students and Fair good party too. You can enjoy your college life in this college whatever you have imagined about college life.

Placements & Internships : There are no placement opportunities for arts background students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : A student has to pass his 12th board exam to take the admission. 

Fees & Scholarships : The curse fee is INR 1500 per semester. Scholars

Degrees and GPA Requirements

Bachelors degree: All graduate applicants must hold an earned baccalaureate from a regionally accredited college or university or the recognized equivalent from an international institution.

Masters degree: This program requires a masters degree as well as the baccalaureate.

University GPA requirement: The minimum grade point average for admission consideration for graduate study at the University of Denver must meet one of the following criteria:

A cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for the baccalaureate degree.

A cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for the last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits (approximately two years of work) for the baccalaureate degree.

An earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution or the recognized equivalent from an international institution supersedes the minimum GPA requirement for the baccalaureate.

A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all graduate coursework completed for applicants who have not earned a master’s degree or higher.

Official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), C1 Advanced or Duolingo English Test are required of all graduate applicants, regardless of citizenship status, whose native language is not English or who have been educated in countries where English is not the native language. Your TOEFL/IELTS/C1 Advanced/Duolingo English Test scores are valid for two years from the test date.

The minimum TOEFL/IELTS/C1 Advanced/Duolingo English Test score requirements for this degree program are:

Other Required Materials

We require a scanned copy of your transcripts from every college or university you have attended. Scanned copies must be clearly legible and sized to print on standard 8½-by-11-inch paper. Transcripts that do not show degrees awarded must also be accompanied by a scanned copy of the diploma or degree certificate. If your academic transcripts were issued in a language other than English, both the original documents and certified English translations are required.

Transcripts and proof of degree documents for postsecondary degrees earned from institutions outside of the United States will be released to a third-party international credential evaluator to assess U.S. education system equivalencies. Beginning July 2023, a non-refundable fee for this service will be required before the application is processed.

Upon admission to the University of Denver, official transcripts will be required from each institution attended.

Three (3) letters of recommendation are required.  Letters should be submitted by recommenders through the online application.
