DTU PhD Fees

DTU PhD fees is 18,000 INR (Yearly) and goes up to 61,000 INR (Yearly) depending on the specialization. The average fees for the PhD course is 11,875 INR (Yearly). DTU PhD admission 2024 will be based on UCEED, JEE Main, CEED, GATE, DASA UG.

To be eligible for a Ph.D. degree at Delhi Technological University, applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. They must also have a valid score in the entrance exam conducted by the university.

DTU PhD Admission 2024

Admission to the PhD at DTU is subject to meeting the eligibility criteria and the candidates have to secure a valid score in GATE, JEE Main, CEED, UCEED, DASA UG . All shortlisted candidates have to complete the DTU PhD admission process by getting their documents verified and paying the admission fee.

DTU PhD Application Process

DTU PhD application form has to be submitted online by visiting the official website. Candidates aspiring to take admission to the PhD course at DTU have to first check and meet the eligibility criteria and then proceed further with the application process.

Steps to fill DTU PhD application form:

• Step 1: Visit the official website of DTU and click on ‘apply online’.
• Step 2: Now, you will be redirected to the admission page of DTU . Complete the registration process and create a profile.
• Step 3: Fill in all details available in the DTU PhD application form.
• Step 4: Now pay the DTU PhD application fee and click on submit button.
• Step 5: After the submission, keep a hard copy of DTU PhD Application Form.

Documents Required for DTU PhD Admission:

• Marks sheet of class 10th standard
• Marks sheet of class 12th standard
• Mark sheet of graduation
• Transfer certificate (if required)
• Character certificate
• Passport-size photographs

DTU PhD Admission 2024 – Delhi Technological University, Delhi invites applications for admission to Full-Time /Part-Time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Program for the academic session commencing in January 2024. Delhi Technological University, formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering is one of the most well known engineering institutions of India. Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Sciences/Management/ Humanities/Design and Social Science in a relevant discipline or equivalent with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is determined.
• In exceptional cases an applicant with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology having a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA and having proven research capability may also be considered eligible.
• Relaxation of 5% in marks at the level of qualifying degree will be given to SC/ST category students for determining the eligibility conditions to apply for PhD admission.

Application Process

• Eligible candidates can apply online through only through DTU website www.dtu.ac.in
• For admission to PhD Programs January 2024, all candidates need to register and fill the application online by accessing the official website: www.dtu.ac.in from 20th November 2023.
• Candidates should first register using a valid email id and password, and then login for filling the online application form. Please note that an ‘Application number’ will be generated while filling up the Online Registration form. This Application number will be used for all future correspondence.
• The application process is completed only when a print out of the filled online application form is taken after paying online the registration fee.
• Before filling the on-line application form, read the information booklet and instructions for filling on-line application forms etc. very carefully.

Application Fee

• For Gen/OBC Candidates : Rs. 1500/-
• For SC/ST/PWD Candidates : Rs. 500/-
• Mode of Payment : Online through debit card/credit card/net banking

Selection Procedure

• The short listing of applications possessing the minimum educational qualifications, for the purpose of screening test & interview will be done by the respective departments in consultation with the PhD Coordinator nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.

Entrance Test

• The Entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration comprising of 60 multiple choice questions. The Cut off for the same will be decided by the University.
• Entrance Test shall be one of the following depending upon situation at the time of test :
• OMR Based pen-Paper type at DTU Campus.
• AI & Manually proctored Online Examination.
• Any other mode as per the situation.

How to apply for an MSc programme at DTU

This information is aimed at applicants holding a qualifying degree acquired in Denmark.

Pre-mapping

Please note that some of DTU’s MSc programmes require that you complete a so-called pre-mapping template, which must be attached to your application.

The application process at DTU is completely digital. You apply by uploading all of the  required documents  to our application portal. DTU does not accept any hard copies of your documents.

1) Log on to  the application portal DANS

If you are currently studying at DTU, you can use the ‘log in’ button.

If you are a student at another university, you must log on as ‘Self-Registered User’ (Log ind som selvoprettet bruger).

Please make sure to use your personal email address and not your current university email address.

Please also make sure to use the same email address for all applications.

2) Fill in the application form

You can apply for up to four different priorities at DTU.

You are asked to prioritize your applications and you will only be offered admission to one of them.

If you submit more than four applications, any applications below the four highest priorities are automatically cancelled.

The Industry MSc programmes are listed last, so simply scroll down the list until you find them. They begin with "x_".

3) Submit the application

Please make sure that all the information you have provided is correct before you submit your application.

4) Check your receipt from DANS

Once you have submitted your application, you will get a receipt. The receipt is accessible via  DANS . An email will be sent to your registered email address stating that you have received a new message in DANS.

Please note that the receipt is not proof that you have uploaded all your documents correctly. If you are in doubt, we recommend that you contact us at  [email protected] .

5) Follow the status of your application in DANS

You must log on to  DANS  to check your messages, see the status of your application, and, if applicable, accept an offer of admission.

You must log on in the same way as when you filled in the application. You will receive an email notification every time there is a new message for you in DANS.

The emails are sent from [email protected]. Make sure that this sender is set to ‘trusted’ so that the emails are not misidentified as junk mail.

6) If you have changed your email or it no longer works for login

Write to  [email protected]  with information about the email address you would like us to use. 

Processing time

We process applications continuously and cannot state how long it will take before you receive our decision.

The processing time is conditional upon the application containing all the necessary information for us to process it. If we have to ask for additional documentation, it might prolong the processing time.

If you apply by the 1 March and 15 October deadlines, you will receive our decision no later than on 10 June or 10 December, respectively, provided we have received all necessary documentation.
